First of all, let’s spend a few minutes on dreams in general…
You know, my Dream Guides have been giving me information on and off ever since I was in my early 20’s. (That near-death experience as a kid set me on this path). They probably were active before my early 20’s too, but I didn’t realize what was going on at the time because it was just normal to me. As I got a little older I discovered the differences between regular dreams and Lucid Dreaming.
I believe you’ve experienced Lucid Dreaming. Mine just happens to come with instructions, sometimes narrated as I am shown a video example while I am aware of watching a dream lesson. Yes, they are always lessons. And then I share the content.
So normal dreams, we don’t often recall all of them. Maybe we get bits and pieces, maybe they don’t make a lot of sense but our inner being is working on some unresolved stuff. Maybe it’s letting the pressure off.
A psychologist friend told me that when you dream of small animals they usually represent you or some part of you. So if you are watching a cat try to get out of a box, it’s your subconscious saying you feel trapped and it’s time to do something about it. This happens in ordinary dreams.
One kind of dream that I have had many times since my teen years is a dream where I am in some vehicle and I want to accelerate to move forward but my legs or foot, some part of me is moving like glue or in slow motion and I cannot make progress. It’s incredibly frustrating. Often it happens in a vehicle on rocky or treacherous terrain. That type of dream is clearly about fear and being stuck. Pretty obvious that one.
Another interesting type is the recurring dream, or an even more rare type is the dream you awaken from, fall back to sleep and it picks up where it left off. That’s always fun to share with someone the next day.
Then there is the Lucid Dream… I find they usually happen just before you wake up for the day.
I know quite a few people who say they do not dream. I suspect they do but don’t have recall of their dreams, yet.
Over the years I began paying attention to what my sleep pattern was like the night just before my Lucid Dream vision or message appeared. Here is the pattern I found and then did research on:
For Lucid Dreaming and dream recall I have found it necessary to be deeply rested, to go through all of the 4 stages of sleep cycles and to avoid eating or drinking anything but water for about 3 hours prior to sleep. That means getting enough deep sleep that you awaken feeling rested.
Alcohol, sugar, and undigested food near bedtime will keep your body and brain from ‘chilling out’, because they will still be working on the digestion process. A day full of caffeine may disturb your deep sleep cycle as well.
According to the Sleepfoundation.org, we cycle through 4 sleep stages each night a variety of times. However, if we are having disturbed sleep we may not go through all of these stages or have as many cycles as we should.
The sleep cycles & stages are:
(A). REM - Rapid Eye Movement Sleep, (B). NREM 1. (Stage 1 sleep)– Non-rapid eye movement sleep, (C). NREM 2. (Stage 2 sleep)- Both NREM 1 & 2 are Light Sleep, (D). NREM 3. -(Stage 3 sleep) N3, slow-wave sleep (SWS), delta sleep, deep sleep, (E) REM -(Vivid Dreaming Stage)
Alcohol, late digestion, and short sleep time can keep you from reaching the REM cycle. This may be why some people claim they don’t dream. It could be due to poor sleep patterns, even lack of Magnesium can play a role in disturbed sleep cycles.

For me, Lucid Dreaming happens when switching from Deep Cycle sleep into Light Sleep just before awakening.
In this window of time...when I am being given a message, I become aware of observing a dream vision. Sometimes, there is a narrator off to the left or right side of me. It can be a male voice or a female voice. (i.e. “the point we are making is this...”) At other times there is no narration, it is telepathic. The narration has been more frequent in the past 3 years. I think perhaps to help me hold onto recall of the message. It does give me deeper clarity of the information I am shown.
And sometimes as I am observing, suddenly I step into myself in the vision, and have a physical/emotional experience of the event I am learning about.
Occasionally, I am taken to other places in time or space. A very few instances I was taken above the planet and shown something from the perspective of space. The most impressive one was about 5 months before Covid was “discovered”. I was shown something coming from ‘behind’ the sun (symbolism I feel for a ‘hidden’ source), and glancing across the planet, affecting most everyone. Though I was told it would be temporary, it would be frightening for many.
But I was instructed not to panic and to help others stay calm.
I kept telling clients, something big was coming but I couldn’t see what it was exactly. However, we should remain calm as it would pass in a short while.
When Covid hit I knew immediately that was the event I had been shown.
Now about that Road Kill.
Sometime in 2022 I had about 4 or 5 Lucid Dream nights in a row. In each one I was simply standing within my body, but also observing from behind myself. The area seemed to be an open grassy area in front of me surrounded by trees. I was standing still and suddenly a small woodland animal would come and stand directly in front of me, look me in the eyes and send me love. It was short, it was sweet, adorable really. There was no verbiage, yet it almost seemed both casual and formal or ceremony like. After the 4th or 5th dream vision, each night a different animal, I was thinking aloud, why was this happening? What did it mean? And then it dawned on me…it was a formal thanking, a gratitude ceremony of sorts!
These were representatives of the animals that were road kill, which I have honored for years when encountering them on the road. While driving I connect my heart/soul to their soul and ask the Divine for them to be elevated, lifted up to a higher and more beautiful level of existence.
They were coming night after night, standing directly in front of me to give their love in return, to thank me. Once I realized what was happening, and felt joyful about it...that was the end of the visitations.
However, incidents like this continue to show me in various ways, how extraordinary our existence truly is beyond the boundaries of our limited beliefs and beyond the veil of illusion.
In the same way we don’t notice the birds singing when we are looking at our phones, we don’t notice the spiritual activities that are supporting and surrounding us in every minute, because our minds are trapped in thought. This is why taking time out for any type of meditation is a crucial thing.
